This crazy guy is on the verge of walking. Today on multiple occasions he took 5+ steps in a row. I guess he is walking then, but its not his preferred mode of transportation yet. Its funny to watch the difference between the kids. Amara walked much later, but she was immediately sturdy. Ethan will try when encouraged, but tonight kept walking sideways, and he's not always very consistent.
He also does this crazy and hilarious thing where he squats down and, well, digs like a dog is the best way I can think to describe it. He just starts flinging whatever he's playing with between his legs, and it flies behind him.
Tonight after dinner Amara decided to feed some yogurt to Ethan. It was quite an ordeal. They were both laughing hysterically, and every time Amara would head back to the table, Ethan would express his distress at her departure. She's really proven herself as a capable baby-feeder lately. She's very careful about giving appropriate sized chunks of food, as well as asking whether or not something is suitable for Ethan to eat. Sometimes she's so eager to help that we can hardly get her to feed herself.
We never know what we'll get when we hand the camera to Amara. Often there are many shots of half-eaten hotdogs and cereal boxes (Yes, that's what we got tonight. And no, I didn't mean that the cereal boxes were half-eaten - just the hotdogs.), but we also get the occasional gem, like this self-portrait.
