Inanimate objects
Amara has recently developed an interesting, and often frustration-laden relationship with inanimate objects. The two major examples are as follows:
1. Cursing an object that does not perform as expected. Amara was trying to put on her shoes, unsuccessfully. She started saying, "No shoe! No! Get on my foot! Argh!" Or if her bike doesn't go where she wants it to, then its, "No bike! Turn! Turn! This way! Argh!!" You get the idea. I have to stifle a laugh when she does this, because she really seems to be battling it out with her rebellious object.
2. Attributing thoughts to objects. Let's say Amara can't get the jar of peanut butter open. After a painful struggle (and perhaps some of #1), she'll then say, "The bottle won't open. It thinks I'm a grown-up!" Or if she falls off her chair, something like, "Did that chair forget I was there?" will follow.
Not sure where I'm going with this, but it is amusing, and I appreciate the way her mind works!

that's interesting, and pretty funny too!
I still do that all the time! That's so funny!
Has she seen too much Disney? Clocks and candlesticks seem to be quite sentient.
I wish that talking to inanimate objects worked. That would be fantastic.
