
That was Amara's question a couple days ago, and we finally concluded that she was referring to the red dots on the foreheads of some women that she'd seen. We gave her a brief explanation, and quietly went on her way. I quickly learned that she had then written on her leg with washable marker, then washed it off in the bathroom to test its
washableness. She then announced that she was going to put a red dot on her own forehead. Well, it was late in the day and we had no plans to go anywhere, so I said
ok. She ran down the hall to the full length mirror and returned with a giant X on her forehead! Dot?! Then she headed over to Ethan and put one on him. I recognized her intentions before she did it, but didn't think he'd let her do it so easily. They both giggled about it quite a bit, and it did wash right off...
Heehee...

Amara decorated the family with these lovely ribbons, attached with
barrettes. She's a pro at this one. And don't worry, no babies were knocked unconscious during the ribbon application. Ethan's just sleeping...
