Crazy creative

Here are some of Amara's latest and greatest:

Today, she got up and drew a tornado. Then, while I was in the shower, she asked how to spell tornado so she could label her picture. I told her to bring a piece of paper in the bathroom and I'd spell it for her. After we did this, she left without her paper, which I assumed she'd need to copy onto her paper. Instead, she said she didn't need it, and returned seconds later with a properly labeled tornado drawing. Did that make any sense? Summary: She remembered how to spell tornado properly, wrote it, and I was impressed.

We've been reading our new stack of Halloween books (thanks grandparents), and Ten Trick or Treaters includes a cute little costume with a decorated paper bag hat. Amara made some attempts at one this morning. Take note - we each got our own hat, and her beloved doll Daphne also got a bag dress!!

She also gave quite a musical performance tonight. I know the Primary Program is coming up in church in a month, and they've been practicing extra hard, I'm guessing. Amara was really enunciating her words in a crazy way, and she was also talking through the words like music leaders always do when they're teaching a new song in Primary.

oh wow, we're impressed when E can remember 3-letter words, but that's orally or with magnets, he doesn't write really.
