Today I dressed the kids in their cute little Halloween outfits and we headed over to the park. I was hoping to get some cute pictures with the autumn colors. Well, there were some setbacks. We knew it would be a bit cool today, but my efforts to warm the kids were inadequate. After about 10 minutes at the park, I noticed Amara pulling her hands into her sleeves. Curse those chilly metal bars! Next Amara started repeating, "I'm freezing! I'm really freezing!" I encouraged some laps and trips down the slide, in an attempt to salvage our trip, but she'd only go down slides if the climb up didn't require her to touch any bars. Needless to say, we didn't get so many festive photos. And jackets covered the Halloween gear anyways.

I totally remember being a little kid in Canada, and being dragged out for snow play, and being in snow up to my armpits with frozen ears and nose and feet, wondering why it was supposed to be fun.
