Good Games
I woke up this morning to the sound of: Right hand red. Giggling.
Amara was playing Twister with my parents, and really enjoying it!
My parents seem to have a lot of fun games that work well for Amara. At our house, we have lots of games more suited to adults - Balderdash, Clue, etc, but the only kid board game that we have is Candyland which, I'm sorry, becomes mind numbing after about 10 minutes. So here are some fun ones my parents have from when I was a kid. Anyone have any other favorites?
Twister, Operation, Pig Mania, Cooties, Run Yourself Ragged, Hi Ho Cherry-o, Connect 4, Perfection, Boggle, Pictionary (we haven't actually played this one yet)...Oh! And Mr. Mouth!

chutes and ladders
roads, rivers, and rails (really cool, a bit puzzle like, good for groups or alone, rules easily modified for little ones)
candy land is good for working on unrelated skills- for ex E is working on feelings so we do "feelings candyland", if you pick red, say something that makes you angry, if you pick yellow, before you move you have to say something that makes you excited. worried, happy. you get it :) any skill you want to work on, it wouldn't' matter :)
