Kiddo Update

I have really been slacking here, but there are lots of silly little things that the kids have been up to that I want to report on. Here are the ones that have accompanying photographs:
Last week the temperatures hit about 70. My dad had just planted (do you actually plant grass seed? More like throw it out on the dirt. And he had a lot of help) some grass seed and wanted to water it. The sprinkler was turned on, and the kids begged to run through. I figured they'd run for about 5 seconds before begging for towels, but no. They ran for awhile and only came in when we told them it was dinner time!
The next night, the sprinklers went on again, but only Ethan actually got the courage to go in, and it lasted about 5 seconds. What a difference 10 degrees makes!
Ethan's been running around with this wrapping paper roll claiming he's Darth Vader. I found him and Amara dueling the other day (she'd commandeered a roll from something else) and she was being Darth Maul! But she seemed to be having a bit of a conflict over it, saying that the two of them really should be friends because they're both from the dark side.
Here they are watching cartoons the other morning. For some reason, Amara loves to sit sideways like this in this chair and spin and spin and spin.
A few days ago we went to the park with some friends. They brought a kite and all the kids had a fun time flying it. Later in the day, Amara appeared in the room with a piece of pink paper, with two yellow crepe paper tails taped to one end, and a ribbon on the other end. She ran around the yard as fast as she could, giggling the whole time. Then her and Ethan made one together for him. He's so short that he had a hard time running and keeping it up off the ground. He almost ran into the tree a few times, too. He was too busy looking back at his sort-of flying masterpiece.
