Ethanisms

Ethan's talking so much lately, so I made a note of a few of our interactions so I won't forget.

1. Last night, he turned to my dad and excitedly whispered, "I'm gonna play button-ups. I'm gonna be quiet." The button-ups were in the room where Amara was sleeping, and he intended to sneak in and retrieve them for his own purposes.
2. He looked at something in my parents' house and announced: I love this pretty house!
3. I was standing in the bathroom while Amara and Ethan were in the shower. I heard Ethan saying, "Look up! I'm pouring water. Don't get it in your eyes!" I waited nearby, ready to interfere if Amara started shouting. But there was no reaction at all, only more instructions from Ethan, "Look up!! Don't get water in your eyes!" Thinking it was strange that Amara failed to respond again, I looked in the shower and found Ethan sitting on the floor with a little mermaid doll in his hand, rinsing her shampoo out.
4. When he overhead my mom ask what I wanted for my birthday, he said, "She wants toys! Just dinosaurs!"
