At the Capitol

We recently took a trip to the State Capitol and spent some time at this very cool park, called the Bicentennial Mall State Park. (no, I didn't take the picture.) Perhaps when you see how colorful Tennessee is in the fall, it will inspire more of you to want to visit!
We spent most of our time playing at these great fountains. Amara really enjoyed running through and fake screaming, just like we taught her to do in the sprinklers. The night before we went, she told me she didn't want to run through and that she'd just take pictures. But, when it was time to get ready, she threw on her swimsuit and googoo goggles and was raring to go.
Ethan crawled around a little and seemed unphased by the water sprinkling all over him.

This park is really great for a number of reasons. Its got marble walls all over with quotes by various people, telling the story of Tennesse's history. There's also a WWII Memorial, a great amphitheater, a farmer's market, tons of open space, and other stuff I haven't really checked out yet.
