Jedi Mind Tricks

It seems that Mathis has been taking a few lessons from Obi-Wan Kenobi, because now, when he does something naughty, he simply insists that his actions are acceptable, hoping that my weak mind will be overcome and consequences will be avoided.
Two examples of late:

Mathis hits/pinches/engages in some other pain inducing behavior.  Me: No Mathis!  Don't do that.  Its not nice.  His response?  It is nice.  Me: No, its not nice!  Mathis: Is nice!  The 'is' is always said with emphasis, which somehow makes it hard for me to keep a straight face while he's doing this.

Mathis kicked my leg, so of course I told him to knock it off because it hurt.  This time he assured me that it actually just tickled.  Sure, kid.

(Hopefully this post won't give the impression that Mathis is a horribly violent child.  He has his crazy moments, but so do most 2 year olds.)
