Washington Highlights: beach version

Alan's parents' place is right by the beach, complete with amazing views and a quick walk to the water. Here are a few pictures:

Here's the little path leading down to the beach.  Amara's enthusiastic to get there...

The tide was extremely low that day.


This rock is usually mostly submerged.  Check out the water line toward the top.

Amara spent most of her time collecting shells, which she then piled into her pockets.

Grandma and Ethan ventured out onto the sand (usually the beach is pretty rocky) and promptly sunk.  Its like quicksand out there!  Grandma was up to her knees.  Fortunately, she knew how to get out!
