Quakes Are Coming Back!!
Before leaving for Nashville Kristina, Amara and I were regulars at Spartan Stadium. Amara loved to clap and cheer for the Quakes and she really loved the mascot "Q." It was really a great way to spend an evening with friends.
Well, last year the team was moved to Houston to become a new expansion team. It looked like the Earthquakes were no more, even though the name had been associated with Bay Area soccer for 33 years. Well, the owner of the A's has just executed his option to buy the Earthquakes franchise from MLS and revive the Quakes in San Jose. Go Quakes!

(It was also great to attend games with Karl. Some people have rare and unusual talents and Karl lifts heckling to an art form. He had more than one player reacting to him.)
One time we took Amara to a game and the crowd started to boo the ref. It lasted for a good 30 seconds. By that time Amara had figured out how to "boo" but she didn't start until everyone else had stopped. It was a funny moment as things quieted down around us and the everyone could clearly hear a two year old belting out "booooo" as loud as she could.
