Birthday Wishes

We celebrated Alan's birthday belatedly (is that a word?) last night. We'd made a cake and gotten everything ready, but we haven't all been feeling so great this week. Last night, we had our cake and sang. Amara made these birthday hats for everyone. We did this once before about a year ago, and she remembered the routine: decorated paper, twisted it up, and found ribbon to make bands underneath, too. She did have a bit of help, but still...
We couldn't get Ethan to wear his hat until later on, but I think he still enjoyed himself.
