Been gone

I feel like I've gotten so far behind on blogging lately. I've thought of so many things I'd like to write about, but I've already forgotten most of them. Sigh.

But, the main reason I got so behind is because I traveled with the kids to North Carolina to attend my grandfather's funeral. He'd been fighting a battle with lung cancer brought on by years working in a power plant. We knew it was coming, but he'll of course still be missed. Fortunately, we were able to go see him a few months ago.

We had a nice visit and were able to spend some time with my parents, too.

Anyways, I don't know what more to say, but just thought an update was in order.
