Security blanket? What's that?

Many children have security objects in the form of blankets, soft snuggly stuffed animals, etc. And here is Ethan's latest favorite object on a long strange list including toothbrushes and spatulas. Its an empty vanilla bottle, which he loves to carry around and unscrew the lid at every opportunity. Last night he insisted on holding it while we rocked in the rocking chair.

And Amara.... what looks like a fancy bow on top of her head is actually a "wig", which she procured from a ball of ribbon and crafted over the course of about 30 minutes. It actually looked more wig-like earlier on in the process, and she asked me to take her to the wig store to buy one of those hard things that goes underneath to hold the wig together. How does she know so much about wigs? We did read "The Witches" by Roald Dahl recently, and in it the witches are bald, so there is some brief mention of their wearing wigs. Hmmm....
