Cookie Tragedy

This evening Amara spent awhile making "cookies" out of playdoh. She carefully rolled and cut, placed on a tray, and put in the oven using her special hotpads. Very cute. Well, shortly after it was time to use the oven for actual cooking. I quickly peaked in the oven, warned Amara to avoid it, and cranked it up to 450. A few minutes later I think - what is that crackling noise? I go check and sure enough, her dang plastic tray with playdoh cookies is sitting in there, way in the back. I just didn't see it! UUgg. Luckily, it didn't melt down into the bottom of the oven, though it did crack the tray. I am lame.
