2 wheels!

After hearing us talk about my dad teaching me to ride my bike many years ago, Amara deemed him the best bike riding teacher and wasn't too excited about any substitutes.  The bike has been sitting up at my parents' house, since our neighborhood isn't conducive to bike riding.  Fortunately, we visit enough that she's still had some practice opportunities.  It was definitely time to remove the training wheels, because she caught on quick.

She still needs some practice to gain some more confidence (no surprise given her cautious personality), but I'm so excited for her!

Unfortunately, the bike had to compete for room in the van with all the Christmas gifts and 3 weeks of clothes, toys and other luggage, so.... it couldn't come with us yet.  I'm sure we'll get it soon, one way or another and keep riding!

Wow, go Amara! That is a big deal learning how to ride a bike. I can still remember when I learned to ride one. I think it is one those first big memories. And LOVE that sleeping picture of them. maybe do it in black and white or sepia and frame it. so so sweet!
