For Love of Pizza

There is a great pizza place around the corner from our new place and we took the kids there the other day.

It is great because it is one of the rare places in the U.S. that does Pizza Napoletana corrctly, with high quality ingredients. The pizza is very good. Amara and Ethan, I am sure, would enthusiastically agree.

The funny part of having pizza with the kids was that Ethan kept trying to bite in the exact location of his previous bite. Thus, he had to smash the pizza against his face so that the crescent formed by past bites spread far enough to privide his teeth with further access to the pizza. In his pepporroni induced frenzy he seemed incapable of realizing that overlapping bites would allow him to masticate large portions without effort. So, over and over he pushed the pizza against his face with great strain. Kristina was in histerics and couldn't stop laughing to help the poor kid.

Here is Ethan finally getting it right:

At least he is very good at using napkins....lots of them...to clean himself with.

Amara loves Pepporonit pizza. We often have to play games to get her to eat enough at dinner time, but when it comes to pepporoni pizza she gives me a run for my money with the quantities she can put down.

Yum, that looks delicious. I miss the food in CA. The best Chicago style pizza I've ever had was in San Fran (not in Chicago!)

Thanks for your comment on my blog :)
