Nutcracker

Saturday, Amara got to participate in "The Nutcracker," put on by her dance company. Her class did a dance with the mice and soldiers. (She's practicing her march in the above photo.)
Here she is with some of her classmates. They were SO cute. At one point Amara's partner kept going too early, and Amara would shake her head and send her back to her place. That probably makes no sense, but it was pretty cute.
Here's Ethan hamming it up for the camera.
The amused audience. Ethan, amazingly, has sat enthralled during all of Amara's dance classes, the dress rehearsal, and the performance.
We were too absentminded to even consider getting flowers beforehand, but Amara noticed, of course, that other kids had them. We swung by Safeway and got these. She really wanted red roses. They didn't have any red bouquets in the case, so she was seriously considering getting a single red rose instead of a dozen of any other colors. Interesting. Then we saw the display by the front door, and there she found her red dozen.

It's amazing what flowers can do for a girl. I'm glad you got them for her. She was probably in heaven. What a cute outfit too.
As for the WWE. I don't get it either. He's just a little entertaining. My husband teases me and says that I know too many people's names. It's so the truth too. Sad.
