Today Amara had a little pre-birthday celebration. Really, we just sang and ate "cake" (cake=sugar cookies frosted to look like Nemo, placed in a circle during preschool. (And no, that's not me by Amara). She was pretty concerned about using the 4 candle. She kept saying, "I'm not 4 yet!" I thought her distress about growing up was resurfacing, but really she just wanted to be able to use the candle on her actual birthday. No problem, dear. That gigantic candle looks like it'll last until Ethan's 4!
