4th of July Beachside!

Last year we had a great 4th up in Oak Harbor. Being near the naval base made for a wonderfully patriotic atmosphere. This year we celebrated the 4th in the OC, and while there wasn't nearly the same level of patriotic fervor we did enjoy the spirit of the holiday. We started off at our new Ward's annual 4th of July breakfast and bike parade.

And here are the kids riding in the parade. The parade consisted of bikes, scooters and skateboards all decorated in red white and blue.







In the afternoon we had a bbq and then went down to watch the fireworks from the beach. The fireworks were the best I have seen in a while. We could see the fireworks from a number of the beach cities to the north while we waited for ours to start. Once they did it was spectacular since the display was reflected off the water.
