Misunderstandings...
We've had a number of misunderstandings at our house lately.
1. Amara is still working on her pronunciation skills. Its so cute, b/c she thinks she's saying it right...Yesterday she said: Can I have some wocky woad? Me: Rocky road or wocky woad? Her, sounding irritated: Not wocky woad! Its WOCKY woad!
2. She's entering the "why?" stage, but she still figuring out how to ask appropriate questions that will get her the answers she wants. She'll ask things like, "What is that squirrel? Umm...brown? a mammal? bushy tailed? Rabid? What are you looking for here... Its interesting to see that there's an art to wording a question to get an appropriate answer. Its also surprising to see how confusing her questions can be. She does seem to be catching on quickly and clarifying...
3. More concerns tonight about "that woman that owns our house." Amara is particularly concerned that the woman may have kiddos that will play with her toys. She suggested taking her room with us (where are we going??) and gluing it back together later. "And that woman can fold up my Cinderella dress, put it in an envelope, and mail it to us! Won't that be nice?"

Wow! That's weally cwazy.
E idolizes our landlord. He'll ask about Leo out of the blue. If he sees a map, he wnats to know where Leo lives. If the mail comes, is there any for Leo. If I tell him not to play in the curtain, he'll ask if that's because it's Leo's.
Also, he says that Leo is in our family. It's Me, Mommy, E, Em, and Leo.
actually ,horn, rigt after I wrote this, we saw the "Americian freedom train" on TV and I told him Americans are any people who live in our coutry. His repsonse? "oh, like Leo! Leo is an American!"
